Symptoms of respiratory illness healed

About a year and a half ago I found myself struggling with tremendous grief because of the passing of dear friends. I was also feeling exceptionally burdened and discouraged over tragic events that had taken place around the world, such as the terror attacks in Manchester and London.

One day I started experiencing what I thought to be an unusually heavy cold. Still, I had promised my grandson and a friend from church that I would participate in a 5K Hunger Walk in support of the local family services program, so I did. However, after returning home, I collapsed. I knew right away I had to address the grief-stricken and discouraged thoughts I had been entertaining.

I called a Christian Science practitioner, who reminded me that God’s angels were right then unfolding messages of hope, healing, and uninterrupted Life. She assured me that God is in complete control. The next day was the Annual Meeting of The Mother Church, and as I watched the meeting through the live streaming option available online, I felt so much gratitude for this Church, for the Christian Science Board of Directors, and for our Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science. I prayed deeply to truly feel “the divine energy of Spirit bringing us into newness of life,” which was the theme of the meeting (Mary Baker Eddy, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, p. 249).
