Cut healed instantly
While living in St. Louis, I was a manager of a chain restaurant. One day, while I was trimming a large piece of beef, the knife slipped and cut one of my fingers badly. I put a cloth over the cut to stop the bleeding and called a Christian Science practitioner to pray for me.
His words rang in my ear: “You have never been cut off from God’s love.” He told me to call him back in two minutes. I, too, prayed to know that I was loved always by my Father-Mother God, that accidents are unknown to God, and that right then I was surrounded by God’s love. Just before I called the practitioner back, I moved the cloth away from my finger and saw just a line where the opening had been.
When I told him what had taken place, he was very pleased. He said he wasn’t praying to fix my finger, but was strongly affirming that I have always been under God’s care, totally whole and loved. Nothing could separate me nor try to cut me off from God’s deep love. He knew that the appearance of being cut was a lie trying to say otherwise, and he strongly denied that lie.
