To ‘be a healing light for the world’
I’ve felt close to God all my life; I always felt that God was a friend I could talk to.
I’ve also been a spiritual seeker all my life. But when I was an adolescent, this desire to understand God, to find Truth, became more acute and earnest. I come from a Hindu background, but I began to investigate different faiths such as Buddhism and New Age philosophies. I didn’t find what I was looking for.
While I wasn’t a Christian at this point, there were some things that impressed me about Christianity, such as the devoutness of its followers and the idea that we should live a sanctified life devoted to God. A big part that impressed me was the idea of spiritual love, of loving others and doing good in the world.
