Leg injury and pride healed
Often when praying for healing, I ask God what spiritual insight or lesson I need to learn. However, in one recent instance when I was facing a physical difficulty, that specific question never needed to be posed in prayer. Inspiration came to me instantly, which provided the very truth needed for healing.
I had been sitting on the floor of my home, and when I got up I felt a sudden jolt of pain in my knee. I then discovered that I couldn’t put any weight on that leg.
My first reaction was one of surprise since I hadn’t moved in any awkward way. What could have caused this? Immediately a phrase from the Bible came to thought: “God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are” (Luke 18:11). To others, that might seem an odd passage to recall under the circumstances, but I actually chuckled. I knew instantly why that verse had come to thought.
