[“ ‘Laying down our life’ and gaining much: the implications of Easter,” Susan Booth Mack Snipes, April 10, 2017, Sentinel]
Thank you so much to Susan for sharing the understanding and inspiration she gained from this statement from John 15:13: “Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.” I have often thought deeply about it and, yes, been inspired with fresh ideas. What Susan shared, especially “to give up the mortal ‘me’ story entirely for the glory of the ‘great I AM’ ”—I thought, yes, that’s what is going on in each of our experiences. Slow or fast, the weight of a human ego—I, me, myself—is yielding to the only true story of Jesus and his love—love for God, for mankind! Thank you again.
