Quick healing of illness
I arrived back at the house one evening and found my wife seated on the bed. As I looked at her facial expression, it was obvious she was not feeling well. I kindly enquired if anything was the matter. She turned to me and said, “I’ve got a headache.”
This particular day she’d had a lot of activities to perform in the house and she’d had to go to the market twice, so she may have been feeling fatigued. I said to her: “You are a perfect child of God and you are not subject to headache. Deny that you can be in pain, and you will be OK.” I reminded her that God said, “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness” (Genesis 1:26).
I reasoned that it is a spiritual fact that man is the image and likeness of God, and this is strong proof that man is fully spiritual. Basing my metaphysical treatment on this fact, I knew that sickness has no place in our spiritual being. I crack jokes a lot with my family, and I added with a smile, “If God created us in His own image and likeness, and has never fallen ill, why you?”
