Turning ‘what if’ thinking around
Many of us have pondered “what if” questions, wondering if our prayers make any difference.
But “what if” we could be reassured that God, the divine Spirit or Mind that is consciously loving us and preserving our lives, is present right where we are, and is also helping us to increasingly see this spiritual truth. When we turn to God in prayer, this shines a light on the “what ifs” of human belief and leads thought in a different direction—toward God. We then begin to consider what kind of thinking we should be challenging and what we should be exploring.
Humanity generally accepts that our lives are random, based on relentless laws of matter. Thinking in this materially based “what if” mode, based in fear and trepidation, can even seem normal.
