Injured eye healed
In 2010 I came to know about Christian Science from a colleague at my workplace, and I was surprised to learn that prayer can heal bad situations. I started attending services and testimony meetings at a Christian Science Society in my city and started practicing in my life what I was learning about divine law.
Over the next few years I experienced healings of many physical challenges, job issues, and relationship issues with the prayerful help of a Christian Science practitioner. I became a member of a Christian Science Society and The Mother Church, and I also took Primary class instruction. Christian Science transformed my life, and serving church has maintained my inspiration to follow Christ Jesus’ teachings and heal. I want to share one of my recent healings.
Recently, after attending the Sunday service and coming back home with a lot of inspiration, I was in the kitchen preparing food. Suddenly hot oil spattered into my eye while I was deep frying. I felt pain and was not able to open my eye. Without a single moment of delay, I mentally declared that I am not made up of brain, blood, bones (see Mary Baker Eddy, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, p. 475). Rather, I am purely spiritual. I silently started praying with “the scientific statement of being” (see Science and Health, p. 468).
