Sudden pain and restricted movement healed

I’m truly grateful for the privilege of studying Christian Science and for the many blessings it has brought to my life.

Recently, while helping someone with landscape work, I felt a bite or prick on one of my fingers, and I drew back in pain. There was no obvious injury or apparent cause, and I kept working, but the pain lasted for a few minutes. A couple of hours later when the work was finished and I got in my car to leave, I noticed a numbness and swelling in the same finger. Still not giving it much thought, I went about my day.

When I awoke the next morning, I immediately felt tightness and restricted movement in one of my arms and legs as well as significant pain in all my joints. My finger was still badly swollen. I had a busy day planned, which involved a lot of standing and walking, and the symptoms continued throughout the day. While I had prayed early on about removing fear and recognizing all causation as in God, good, by evening I knew I needed to step up the prayerful work for myself, and I called a Christian Science practitioner for help.
