Severe ankle injury healed
This past spring I was jogging alongside a road when I unknowingly stepped into a pothole and fell, severely twisting my ankle. With great effort I was able to get up and walk home, but over the next few hours there was considerable pain and increased swelling of my ankle and foot. The following day I found myself unable to walk or even stand.
My lifelong practice of successfully turning to Christian Science for healing made it natural to do so again. I called a Christian Science practitioner for treatment and also began my own prayerful work. Our Pastor, the Holy Bible and Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy, provided immediate encouragement.
For instance: “When thou goest, thy steps shall not be straitened; and when thou runnest, thou shalt not stumble” (Proverbs 4:12), and, “Have no fear that matter can ache, swell, and be inflamed as the result of a law of any kind, when it is self-evident that matter can have no pain nor inflammation” (Science and Health, p. 393).
