‘No ugliness in my expression’
God provides the way to surmount every supposed obstacle with Truth and Love. Never have I ever learned from my study of the Bible that God does not help man. In fact, I’ve found that the Bible is a central force in my spiritual growth. The book of Deuteronomy says, “Know therefore this day, and consider it in thine heart, that the Lord he is God in heaven above, and upon the earth beneath: there is none else” (4:39).
In early 2016, an unsightly growth appeared in a fairly prominent position—on my nose. It became clear that mortal mind was suggesting this was to become an obstacle in my life. But was it an obstacle or an opportunity for healing?
Job’s triumphant experience in the Bible assured me that I could “lift up thy face without spot” (Job 11:15) and I could be steadfast in prayer, expectant of healing, and not fearful. I reasoned that nothing is growing in me except spiritual understanding and spiritual discernment.
