Eye condition healed
Around five years back when I was working as a Web designer for a company, one of my colleagues introduced me to Christian Science. Her thoughts about God and our identity as completely spiritual inspired me a lot. At that time I was very disappointed because of discord in my new marriage. My colleague asked me to go to her branch Church of Christ, Scientist, with her, but I didn’t take that step.
A few months later I was weeping in front of her, and this time I agreed to go to church with her. The love I felt there was something out of this world, and for me it was the beginning of a new life. I read the weekly Christian Science Bible Lessons and articles on JSH-Online, and my colleague gave me Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy. So many blessings came. I was more loving, patient, and independent—and there was more harmony in my marriage, including a safe and smooth delivery of my child. I became a member of the Christian Science Society in Chandigarh, India, as well as a member of The Mother Church.
I still remember one of my first healings, and it has remained precious to me. I went to visit my in-laws in another town. When I reached there, my relatives told me that my eyes were red and distressed. Everyone was highlighting those symptoms again and again. At that time nobody there knew I had found Christian Science. I made a decision that I would pray about my God-given identity and didn’t need to go to a doctor.
