Cured of intense stomach pain
One spring, our family vacationed in Florida in order to watch one of our daughters perform at Disney World with her dance troupe. One night, everyone had gone to bed early except for me.
I stayed up to watch the news, which primarily covered a mass shooting that had taken place earlier that day at a large university. I felt transfixed by this story because my best friend’s son was a student there, although I did learn that he was safe. Our son had only recently chosen the college he would attend in the fall. The news of this shooting raised concern and worry as the possibility of random acts of violence on his (or any) campus came to the forefront of my thought.
When I got into bed, I began to experience waves of pain in my abdomen. I wasn’t comfortable lying down, so I got up and went into the bathroom. I tried to be quiet, but my husband woke up and supported me in prayer.
