Praying for a humble heart
Justice was on my mind as I drove the half hour to the businessman’s office.
My wife and I were looking for a reputable builder for a new home. We had met with local representatives of a national company a few weeks earlier, and at our first meeting they had outlined cost estimates they promised would not be exceeded. Our hopes were high, as their presentation met our budget while incorporating elements of home that we cherished. At our second meeting, however, we discovered an instance of false advertising that put the whole project out of reach.
After our disappointment, we discovered a local builder. I knew him a little from contacts I’d had with him through my job. He was sincere, listened well, and had creative solutions to challenges. We quickly regained our momentum with the project.
