Forgiveness

[“Healing on a hike,” Emily De Wulf, January 12, 2015, Sentinel]

Thanks for this article. The part about forgiving what or who seems to have hurt us is so important to the healing.

Studying the Bible more

I just wanted to tell you how much I am loving the new Bible Lens pullout in the Sentinel! I have been enjoying studying the Bible more, and this tool will be a wonderful addition to my resources. Very timely and much appreciated.

Magnificent proof

[“Safe after being held up at gunpoint,” Nylah June Coleman, January 5, 2015, Sentinel]

What a magnificent proof of Love at work as the divine Principle governing all. Thank you to Nylah for sharing her Christly approach in seeing those two men as God sees them—spiritual and innocent. She was truly obeying the Golden Rule Christ Jesus gave us.

A healing effect

I would like to express appreciation for Jill Gooding’s “Inn or stable?” as well as Barbara Vining’s “A manger in the heart” (December 22, 2014, Sentinel). These contributions so beautifully nurture the Christ-idea with meekness and caring, such lovely qualities to be cultivating at Christmastime and always.

I have also loved reading Katie Martin’s “manger” account in “Fearless giving” (December 29, 2014, Sentinel). Her and her husband’s desire to bless another family with a home (and a need met) had its return blessing for Katie’s family with an unexpected monetary gift from a relative. This is truly Love being seen and felt. The added benefit was the mother of the family who moved into the home becoming interested in Christian Science!

All the beautiful articles in this, and every, issue, including “A family led by a mother’s healing” by Rose Stackhouse-Lamont (December 29, 2014), shine with the glow of Father-Mother Love and its healing effect on humanity.

I have experienced this healing effect as the giver as well as the receiver, seeing “where heart meets heart reciprocally blest” (Mary Baker Eddy, Miscellaneous Writings 1883–1896, p. 207).

Thank you for these healing Christmas messages.
