Use of legs restored
Early in my married life I found myself unable to walk. My husband and I were living in the home where his parents once lived. Each day they would come to work at the workshop behind the house, and of course they were concerned about my condition.
I had engaged the prayers of a Christian Science practitioner, and we prayed together earnestly, but when the difficulty persisted, the practitioner visited with my husband and me. It was a happy visit, and yet I still could not walk.
One day I read in Isaiah, “Shake thyself from the dust; arise, and sit down” (52:2). Now, to “arise and sit down” was exactly what I could not do at this point! I laughed at the absurdity of it.
