Family harmony restored
I recall about three years ago when my brother and I used to work at the same company. He and I share a very good relationship, so it was not uncommon for me to stay a few minutes longer to visit with him at the end of my shift. One day during our visit, our conversation started off well but then turned into a disagreement, which quickly escalated into a heated argument. As this argument continued to drag on, I began to realize that I was allowing myself to believe in the existence of a personal ego—mine and my brother’s—rather than in the one Ego, or Mind, called God.
So I chose to give up the thoughts originating in this ego, which are the fuel behind arguments like the one I was having with my brother. They were:
I am right, and you are wrong.
I will not stop until I have the last word.
