Love dissolves anger, brings healing
When my daughter was a sophomore in high school, she went waterskiing with friends from school. When she got home, she said she had swallowed a lot of lake water and thought she had something stuck in her throat, which was starting to swell.
I immediately turned to God, and a passage from the Bible came to me: “If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; and ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free” (John 8:31, 32). I leaned on this supportive promise as I prayed.
The next day, my daughter was unable to eat and had little energy. All she wanted to do was remain in bed. I knew I had to affirm what was spiritually true about her, pronto. I began reading to her from Rudimental Divine Science by Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science. I was able to see the truth in every statement I read.
