Healings from my childhood
My first Christian Science healing happened when I was five years old, after my mother was introduced to Christian Science.
I’d had a boil on my leg and had been taken to the hospital. The leg had become infected, and we were told it would need to be amputated. My parents didn’t want to take that drastic measure and were allowed to take me home with a special cast on my leg, although we went back to the hospital to have the wound cleaned regularly.
Unable to walk, I was sitting on the front porch with my parents one day when a man came up to the porch. He offered to sharpen the knives and scissors in our house to earn a bit of money, and asked about my condition.
