A business of spiritual ideas
Originally written in Spanish, this article first appeared in the March 2014 Portuguese, French, German, and Spanish editions of The Herald of Christian Science.
I had worked for five years in the automotive industry when I decided to start my own business distributing industrial products. At the time, I was facing fear of the future and economic woes, having to care for a family that included my wife and four children.
To overcome these challenges I turned to prayer, something that has always helped me solve problems. I found much inspiration from this verse in the Bible: “Except the Lord build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the Lord keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain” (Psalms 127:1).
I thought about the spiritual law of supply and demand.
