No trace of a burn
Originally written in French, this testimony first appeared in the June 2014 French, Spanish, Portuguese, and German editions of The Herald of Christian Science.
I would like to share my testimony to show all who are new in Christian Science that an advanced understanding of Truth is not necessary to find healing. The trust we put in God and in His supremacy is always able to free us, as it did in my case. “The things which are impossible with men are possible with God,” declared our great Exemplar, Christ Jesus (Luke 18:27).
Many years ago, I was training at the National Judiciary and Administrative School in my country, the Republic of Congo. Courses lasted all day. I had a family to take care of, so I would prepare the meals for everyone very early in the morning, before leaving for my training.
One morning, because of a sudden lack of gas in the city, I had to use a kerosene stove to fry the fish that was going to feed the whole family on that day. As usual, after heating the frying oil, I put the fish in the pan. Then I went to clean the house and returned to the kitchen to flip the fish so that it would fry on the other side.
