Painful foot condition gone
Two summers ago I began to experience some discomfort in my left foot while walking around. Thinking the pain probably resulted from being on hard ground, I decided that a better-cushioned shoe was what I needed. But one hundred dollars later I was still walking around on a sore foot.
I was still keeping up my usual running schedule until one day the pain became almost unbearable. I had heard about a condition common among runners with symptoms similar to what I was experiencing, but I resisted any impulse to look up this disorder.
Having studied Christian Science for about a year and having just gone through Christian Science Primary class instruction, I didn’t see any reason why I shouldn’t be able to handle the issue spiritually. In spite of my prayers, however, in the back of my mind was planted the fear of this condition.
