Proofs of God’s complete care
I had a mole on the side of my leg that had begun to hurt and sometimes bled. One day I decided to spend the day just praying about this condition. I sat down and began affirming that God cares for me and everyone completely, all the time and in all ways. After a while, I remembered I needed to do the dishes, so I decided to keep praying while doing my housework. I was trying to look past the illusion that matter was any part of my true, spiritual being. Declaring the truth and holding to it, I prayed humbly and simply along these lines as I went about doing my work.
That night, as I was getting ready to go out, I reached down to put on my nylon stockings, taking my usual care because of the mole on my leg. But it wasn’t there! I’d had another mole on my foot as well, and it, too, was gone. There wasn’t a mark left! I was so grateful, I cherished this quick and complete healing with joy in my heart. I didn’t even tell my husband at first, I was so focused on thanking God for His healing love.
Along the same lines, one day my husband and I were working on building a patio cover, and he accidentally dropped a metal pipe on my head from where he was standing above me. Instead of looking to see what the injury was like, I refused to let matter dictate the terms of the situation. Instead, I argued insistently that accidents have no part in our experience and that harmony was all that could really happen in God’s kingdom. There was no blood, no mark, no bump. My husband kept checking to see where the pipe had hit me, but I was so perfectly protected that there wasn’t any pain or evidence whatsoever.
