Diligent prayer brings quick healing
One morning several years ago, I woke up barely able to open my eyes. I could sense that something seemed not quite right but figured that just washing my face, as I normally do each morning, would take care of things.
But then the thought came to me not to head into the bathroom just yet, but to pray first. An enormous mirror was above my bathroom sink, and I felt a need to guard my thought prayerfully before going in there.
As I prayed, I contemplated the idea of reflection and what it means spiritually. I thought about how what we see reflected in the mirror doesn’t give us an accurate sense of our true, spiritual identity; but an understanding of God, Spirit, does, since we reflect Him. I declared out loud God’s allness and my identity as His perfect child. I cherished the fact that God’s goodness is eternal, so my own and everyone’s wholeness and purity is unchanging.
