Our great Alaska adventure
At the same time, I can also see how I was gently led back to my childhood home in Alaska. Memories of growing up there were not all good, and although I still held a soft spot for Alaska in my heart, I wanted to leave some hurtful memories behind forever. This meant staying away from this beautiful state, except for the occasional visit. But divine Love had other ideas. I am happy to say Love is always right!
One of the hardest things I’ve had to learn is letting go of being willful about how things should turn out. After my first marriage broke up, I had to learn to be self-sufficient as a single woman. But turning just to human aid instead of turning to God for help doesn’t work out so well. I often ended up sharing houses or apartments with people I didn’t know very well and borrowing money from friends or institutions. I can see now how I ended up in some bad situations.
