I am a healer!
One day after school, I was outside riding on my neighbor’s scooter. I was trying to do some tricks when I fell. I hit my lip on the handle bars and fell to the ground. I had a few scratches on my knee and arm, but my lip was what hurt the most. I had a cut inside my lip and it was bleeding, too. I went into our house to tell my stepmom, Cat, and get help. Cat is a Christian Scientist and often helps me pray.
When I walked into the house, I was crying. Cat hugged me and asked what happened. When I told her, she said to me: “You are God’s beautiful child. You now have a choice. You can be the healer God made you to be, or you can choose to allow error to steal your fun.”
I stopped crying and started to think about what Cat had said. I didn’t want error, or thoughts of hurt and unhappiness, to steal my fun! Cat started to help me clean my cut. As she cleaned me up, she and I talked more about how God never made me to get hurt. God is good. And God made me to express Him and to be happy and free.
