LUIS ROSARIO'S ACCOUNT

My day with Dr. K was coming to an end at a small authentic Japanese sushi restaurant, when I suddenly realized that I had lost my wallet. All of a sudden I felt a sense of emptiness, but I later found out that perception had such an insignificant meaning on a spiritual level. Sure, my wallet held information that helps me function on a physical level, but like all material things, it can be replaced.

It was right at this moment that I experienced Dr. K's sense of spiritual awareness with the Higher Power. She proceeded to pray and state that my wallet was not lost, and that nothing is ever lost. It's something that till this day I am honestly still trying to understand. Yet, as I think about this statement, I get closer and closer to better understanding it. As she kept on telling me that my wallet was in a proper location even though I wasn't in possession of it, I told her, "It is what it is." Once I blurted out this statement, I felt a sense of release come over me. A release of the so-called identity that my driver's license states, a release of the ability to have access to my money through my ATM cards, and a release of the thought that I had lost a part of myself.

Behold, my wallet was found the next day! As I mentioned before, the statement "nothing is lost" has left me pondering my personal interpretation of this idea.
