LOST HEARING RESTORED

I am most grateful for the healing power of Christian Science. I have been a student of Christian Science for about ten years now, and I have experienced a number of prayer-based spiritual healings in that span. I would like to share a healing that occurred about two years ago which has given me increased insight into what Christian Science really is.

My wife and I had traveled to attend a relative's wedding. During our flight home, my ears popped a few times, and after we landed, I had a strange feeling in one of my ears. The next morning I woke up with flu-like symptoms. However, more concerning to me, the hearing in my ear had become noticeably muffled.

Fear started to flood in as I ruminated over the scene before me. My dad had lost the hearing in one of his ears after getting sick once as a young man, and I was starting to wonder if this would be a repeat story for me. Furthermore, I am an avid music lover—I play the guitar almost every day, and I have an extensive music collection which I listen to frequently. The thought of losing my ability to hear music in stereo was debilitating. It was at that point that I made my first call to a Christian Science practitioner to ask for treatment through prayer.
