COLLEGE FUNDING FOUND

During high school, I didn't have much of a problem with finances because I was a scholarship grantee. But when graduation was approaching, I became so worried. I knew that my parents would, for sure, be sending me to college, but I started having doubts. Both of my parents are farmers, and besides, I also have a sister who was in college at the time, so I thought my parents' income would not be enough. I thought of just ignoring the problem, but I knew this would lead nowhere.

Then I decided to rely on prayer. The local Christian Science Society didn't have Sunday School yet, but I'd been attending the Sunday church services, studying the weekly Christian Science Bible Lessons, and reading Christian Science periodicals.

My parents always told me that God will never abandon nor forsake us, for He loves us so much! I resorted to our Pastor, the Bible and Science and Health, for more helpful insight. In the Bible, the very first line of the 23rd Psalm said, "The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want." Clearly, it came to me that there was no point in worrying, because there's nothing worth worrying about at all. God is supplying my needs (including yours, of course!) and is giving us even more. In Science and Health, Mary Baker Eddy wrote, "To those leaning on the sustaining infinite, to-day is big with blessings" (p. vii). I felt at ease reading this.
