KNOW the IMAGE
OFTEN I THINK ABOUT what it means to be spiritual. To me it means right now that we don't live in a material body, that we are never victims to material circumstances or biological laws. That we are never alone or helpless. Being the image of God, being spiritual, is a grace and the greatest gift ever. Through reflection we are free. We can do everything through reflection, and humility and commitment to good lead the way.
A poem by Rainer Maria Rilke, whose first wife had been an active Christian Scientist in Germany, has become dear to my heart:
