A PEACEFUL FEELING
I first remember hearing the term burnout some years ago, when I was in teacher training. Today, beyond educators, it's widely applied to all kinds of stressful circumstances that leave people physically and emotionally drained. For example, it's not uncommon for someone to feel burnout both during and after the holiday season. Try Googling burnout, and you'll find dozens of websites that offer tips on how to avoid falling victim to it and focus on what's truly important.
Perhaps one of the most effective burnout remedy tips for all of us is recorded in the New Testament of the Bible, in Jesus' comforting words "Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest" (Matt. 11:28).
