NO MORE CAT ALLERGY

For many years I struggled with allergic symptoms when around cats. Sneezing, coughing, and swelling on my skin made it very difficult to visit family and friends who had cats, and I often became frustrated about this.

About a year ago, I was taking Christian Science Primary class instruction and, halfway through our two-week course, was invited to stay with a classmate of mine. Little did I know she had three cats. I was grateful for the opportunity to spend some time in her countryside home. It was the perfect place for quiet study after each day's session. But after returning to her house from class one day, the familiar symptoms of an allergic reaction began to develop.

Because I'd been raised in Christian Science and had many healings, I decided to pray about this issue. I knew I could prove what I'd been learning about my relationship to God. As I completed my assignment each day, which included reading from the Bible and Mary Baker Eddy's writings, I grew in my understanding of Christian Science and began to acknowledge that none of God's creatures could harm or hinder my well-being or spiritual growth.
