LUMP VANISHED THROUGH PRAYER
A few years ago, I was assigned to represent my employer at two back-to-back, week-long scientific conferences, one in Alaska and the other in Scotland.
About a week before I left home for Alaska, I noticed a small lump in my vaginal area. While the condition did not hinder my normal activities, I knew it needed attention.
Over the next few days, I prayed diligently, as I had learned to do in Christian Science, to lay aside fear and to understand more clearly what constituted my spiritual identity. At times I wondered whether the condition was possibly cancerous. That matter-based thought implied that there could be something occurring in the body that was beyond God's control. But through my study of Christian Science, I'd been learning that in spiritual reality there can be nothing beyond God's control.
