LETTERS

Thank you so much for the wonderful Sentinel on "Women in today's world," February 2. I especially appreciated Robin Hoagland's article, "Woman uplifted, humanity redeemed." It is so inspiring and helpful.

Her experience several years ago as a speaker in Africa—when she was asked about pursuing a career while also being a wife and mother—was wonderful. She explained that her children were used to having either parent meet their needs. That is how families are able to cope today.

Also, the Christian Science Bible Lesson on "Reality," discussed in the March 23 Sentinel, contained a passage that has helped me over the years: "This understanding is not intellectual, is not the result of scholarly attainments; it is the reality of all things brought to light" (Mary Baker Eddy, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, p. 505).
