SEVERED FINGER HEALED WITHOUT A MARK
As a student of Christian Science I've experienced many healings through reliance on God and spiritual means alone. One evening, as I was getting ready to do a framing project, I again felt God's immediate care—confirming that whatever I faced, divine Love would always be at my side.
I'd been cutting matboard, when the sharp cutting tool that I was using struck my forefinger and it began to bleed excessively. I was alone, so the easiest thing to do was to immediately wrap a cloth around my entire hand to stop the bleeding; it was evident that a normal adhesive bandage would not be adequate.
At first I was afraid and anxious, especially when I soon discovered that the tip of my finger had been completely severed. Quickly however, I decided to focus in prayer on the truths I had learned about God and my relationship to Him as His beloved child, made spiritually, in His "image" and "likeness" (see Gen. 1:26, 27). I immediately became calmer.
