ANYONE CAN BE A HEALER

PREPARED TO SHARE

WHEN I WAS A NEW STUDENT of Christian Science contemplating membership in a branch Church of Christ, Scientist, I didn't think much would be required of me in the way of church work, much less the public practice of Christian Science. I mistakenly thought those duties were for life-long Christian Scientists. I also considered myself quiet and shy, not much of a joiner.

But as I continued to study and pray, it became clear to me that Mary Baker Eddy expected the Church she established to be a Church of healers, without exception. I was inspired by the examples of many of the early students of Christian Science. They didn't have years of experience in this Science before courageously turning to Spirit to seek healing for themselves and other people; once they realized and experienced the power of divine Love as a very present help, they were ready to help, too.

I loved what my newfound discovery and practice of the divine laws of God's healing power was doing in my life—virtually re-forming it by transforming my thinking in a way that was bringing me much-needed healing. Some of the many early healings I had were of depression, smoking, a burn on my hand, and relationship problems. And I loved sharing with others what I was finding.
