QUICK RECOVERY FROM ATTEMPTED CARJACKING

I am most grateful for having been sustained and protected while the target of a car hijacking attempt one night.

I'd felt surrounded by a sense of peace as I drove home from my office, happy with the day's work. However, on drawing up in the dark at my driveway gate, I was confronted by two shadowy figures appearing from behind a bush.

Silhouetted against the wall and garden by the glow of my car's headlights, their outlines initially appeared to be from a world apart—like cardboard cut–out puppets moving jerkily across a stage. I took some time to register what was happening outside, as I sat behind the wheel still half–absorbed in thought.
