LETTERS
My heart is overflowing with gratitude as I read the September 28 Sentinel, "There is a way out of debt." My mother's favorite quote was "Our gratitude is riches, complaint is poverty" (Vivian Burnett, Christian Science Hymnal, No. 249).
Getting back to the Sentinel, that issue was such a wake-up call to be grateful for all the good that has filled my life and continues to in this financial crisis that the world is experiencing. As a "senior citizen," I've found ways to save regularly. What a glorious feeling not to have to worry about meeting my needs as they always are met. I don't want to take it for granted, though, and I have to give thanks to God and Christian Science for a rich, full life.
