THIS WEEK'S Christian Science Bible Lesson, titled "Soul and Body," explains the relationship between Soul, or God, and body—and how a better understanding of these terms brings blessings to our lives.

The Bible verses in the first section of the Lesson rejoice with the Psalmist in God's glorious handiwork, evident in the heavens and in the firmament (see Ps. 19:1, citation 1). And the opening citation from Science and Health describes the sun as "the symbol of Soul governing man,—of Truth, Life, and Love" (p. 595).

Science and Health describes how the science of astronomy reversed the mistaken human perception of the interaction between the sun and the earth, and showed the sun at the center. It explains that the Science of Christianity does the same for one's understanding of Soul and body: "Science reverses the false testimony of the physical senses, and by this reversal mortals arrive at the fundamental facts of being" (p. 120, cit. 3).
