SAFE FROM INJURY AFTER FALL FROM BIKE

One sunny afternoon at the end of spring, several years ago, I was biking on an unpaved and partially grassy road in the country. I was enjoying the view of the fields, sown with different crops, and of the trees, coming in all sizes and types, branches budding richly with different shades of green.

Suddenly, the front wheel of my bike got stuck in a hole that I had not noticed because it was partially covered with grass. I was thrown upward and frontward. As I was falling, the lower part of my left leg got caught between the frame and the fork of the front wheel.
