ANYONE CAN BE A HEALER

JOYOUS MINISTERING

ALL DURING my final years of high school, I thought my ideal job would be to work in a bank. I was interested in finance, and expected it would be a rewarding profession. But when the opportunity came for a short stint at a bank, my world was shattered. I didn't enjoy anything about it, and couldn't wait for the week to be over. Suddenly I was struggling with feeling utterly uncertain about what my life's work was going to be.

Growing up, I'd seen wonderful results in our home when we'd turned to prayer for answers. And a wonderful friend, who was a Christian Science practitioner, encouraged me not to be afraid, but to listen for what God wanted me to do and how I could best serve Him. I took this to heart, and particularly during my last year of college, I earnestly prayed in this way. I began to think more deeply about God and how He loved His creation, how He had a place and purpose for each of His children.

During the summer following my graduation, while I was waiting for exam results, it came to me to apply to a local Christian Science nursing facility to work in the housekeeping department. My mum was a Christian Science nurse.
