DEAR MEMBER OF THE MOTHER CHURCH

EDWIN C. STARNER, Organist of The Mother Church, will be retiring at the end of December 2008. We are deeply grateful to Ed for his dedication and devotion of thought to The Mother Church services for over 14 years, as well as for conducting many hymn singing workshops and organ recitals.

Ed's musical experience includes holding degrees in organ performance and piano accompanying and coaching from Westminster Choir College of Rider University, Princeton, New Jersey. He has held positions as an organist and choral director in several large churches in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and New York, and has served as member of the organ faculty and director of Continuing Education at Westminster Choir College.

Over the years Ed has played with great inspiration, dedication, and skill. Now he plans to dedicate his time to the Christian Science practice as well as to spending more time with his wife, Joyce, and their daughters and families.
