BOYS, ANGELS, AND GRANDMA
I LOVE ANGELS. To me they are bright, healing thoughts from God, always present when we need guidance and grace.
It's the same with those qualities of joy and spontaneity that my grandsons bring me. Will is nine and Aidan is eight. We often have delightful overnights, one boy at a time. sometimes their other grandmother and I take them on special, joyous outings.
But I wouldn't say I'm a perfect grandmother. Sometimes I struggle when the two-boy brand of spontaneity gallops beyond my comfort zone. So out of necessity, I've been discovering the secure—and broad—comfort zone of God's goodness. I often thank Him, divine Love itself, for fathering and mothering the world's children, these boys, their parents—and me, too.
