LESSONS ON THE LORD'S PRAYER FROM A PAIR OF SCISSORS

For all the times I've repeated the word as in the Lord's Prayer, its significance didn't strike home until one day when I was using a pair of scissors in my office.

What does a pair of scissors have to do with as and the Lord's Prayer? Well, I was using the scissors one day, and for the first time, I saw it not as a single tool but as two blades that make up one useful device. And as I looked at the blades, I saw what made them useful—the pin that connects them.
