TWO HEALINGS PROVE GOD'S POWER

Several years ago, a spot appeared on my face just below one of my eyes. Since our family had just relocated to a new area, I was busy adjusting to a new job and settling my children into school. I took little notice of the spot, until it began to really bother me.

I'd experienced and witnessed many healings through Christian Science, so I knew that I could safely treat this condition through prayer. Initially, my prayers were sporadic and even halfhearted, and as I was able to conceal the spot, no one seemed to notice it. However, when the situation seemed to grow worse and two other spots developed on my nose and shoulder, I realized that I needed to pray more specifically and expect healing.

At the time, much publicity was being given to the harmful effects of sun exposure. Unwittingly, I had become overly concerned about these warnings concerning ultraviolet radiation and constantly reminded the children to wear hats and use sunscreen. I even condemned myself for not taking better care of my skin while spending time outdoors.
