GOD'S PRESENCE PROVIDES HELP AND HEALING

As a child, I grew up in a Christian Science home and attended Sunday School. I learned early on that prayer would lead to healing.

I'd been a high-school teacher in a small town in the Southwest for nearly 30 years. With two of our children grown and living in the Midwest, we decided to move to be closer to them. Although I found a job, I felt that my true calling was teaching, and after several years, I was led to return to the classroom.

As I pursued this goal, however, it immediately became clear that I needed to deal with my concern that my age would eliminate me from consideration for a full-time teaching position. To deal with this fear, as well as an endless list of seemingly impossible conditions that had to be met, I called a Christian Science practitioner for support through prayer.
