My finger healed quickly

My name is Iyanuoluwa. I am 12 years old. One day I came back from school, and I had some homework assignments to do. For one of them, I had to do a drawing. I sharpened my pencil with a razor blade, as I normally do. But the blade slipped and made a deep cut on my left thumb. It hurt a lot and was bleeding. I started crying.

After a few moments, I decided to pray. I remembered a passage that my dad sometimes reads to us when we have hurt ourselves. It's from Science and Health and says: "Spirit's senses are without pain, and they are forever at peace. Nothing can hide from them the harmony of all things and the might and permanence of Truth" ( pp. 214–215). I prayed with this thought. I had learned in Sunday School that Spirit, Truth, and Love are names for God. And I thought that I could be at peace because I'm God's child and I reflect Love.

My mum prayed with me. Soon the bleeding stopped. The following morning, I could still see the cut, but all pain was gone. And later that day, the wound was completely healed.
