BRAZILIAN BEACH culture can be very focused on physical appearances, and, for men, having a muscular body is considered important. Whenever I went to the beach, I would see many guys with muscular bodies, and I began to feel really insecure about being skinny.
I wanted to be muscular and strong like the guys on the beach, but I resisted the idea of going to a gym because I didn't want to get too wrapped up in the way I looked.
