An ordinary day

An ordinary day, but still so special! Why?
The dawn is breaking on my earth and sky.

The picture from my window, etched in purest light
Is painted by a hand both masterful and grand,
Never still, but shifting endlessly to sight.
The flaming colored sky frames home and land.

It is God's morning gift, I know, to me and all,
An endless revel of His power and grace,
Reminding me that I, too, am canvas at His call,
Awaiting every thought that brings us face to face.
