singing GOD'S PRAISES

I'm a choral music teacher in a large high school, and my work often requires very long days and weeks.

Choral directors need to be prepared, energized, positive, poised, and clear for each rehearsal and performance. I've found that when I consciously acknowledge God to be the source of my very being and activity, and rejoice in my ability to express God's qualities, I have all I need to do the job.

The first sentence of Science and Health — "To those leaning on the sustaining infinite, to-day is big with blessings" (p. vii) — has always been one of my favorite statements of Mary Baker Eddy's. I've often wondered how I would lead my life if I did not rely on the truths of Christian Science to sustain and support my activities.
